《蛙聲》
小山上的齊賢樓二零八
是我們今晚過夜的地方。
她說我們還沒有這樣在外面留宿,
感覺就像度假。二樓落地窗對著小馬路
和夜里路邊雜草叢中的蛙聲。
我一生中第一次聽出,她也同意,
那不是一般的蛙叫,
而是它們在演奏音樂:最初,
是一支短曲,我沒聽出來,
然后我聽出第二支,稍長,
主要是那領頭的蛙聲,先是
從一側冒出來,緩慢而洪亮,
接著加快,越來越快,匯合整片蛙聲,
然后整片蛙聲沉寂,剩下它
收尾定音。隔一會兒
第三支升起,是長曲,
很長,總是在我預期要停的時候
繼續、繼續、繼續,直到我
再也聽不出它的整體結構
并昏昏入睡。
