Storytelling is a powerful tool of communication that can amplify the impact of ideas and showcase one's strengths and achievements. CUHKSZ students possess the language proficiency and demand to acquire storytelling skills for the competition in international higher education and the global job market. This project will teach storytelling techniques for academic and professional purposes, such as 'the hero's journey', three-act structure, and “And, But, Therefore” framework. Moreover, Al will be innovatively employed in tailoring and visualising a story for different purposes, and applied in teaching and learning practices. Therefore, this project aims to teach AI-empowered storytelling (AES) to prepare students for success in modern higher education and workplace.

Anticipated outcomes include two English courses (incl. ENG2002B Signature Course) and three series of storytelling workshops for academic communication, postgraduate applications, and job hunting. Edited records of the courses and workshops will be accessible to all University members, and video highlights will be posted on social media platforms to raise awareness of storytelling and the reputation of our University. This initiative could guide instructors of different courses to develop their curriculums and enhance student’s competitiveness in the global arena.
