Lab Engineer II – School of Science and Engineering (Ref. 2025/227/01)
Post Specification
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the daily and safety management of the materials teaching laboratory;
2. Responsible for supporting lab courses;
3. Implement the school laboratory safety management system, develop the safety management regulation for the materials teaching laboratory;
4. Responsible for the daily procurement and management of laboratory consumables, as well as the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, and the timely handling of chemical waste and solid waste generated in the laboratory;
5. Undertake other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Master's or above degree, major in chemistry, materials science, or a relevant area;
2. At least 3 years of laboratory management or relevant experience in higher education institutions, or enterprises and institutions;
3. Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and social media tools (WeChat official accounts;
4. The ability to work independently, show initiative and take full responsibility for the completion of tasks;
5. Good team player with strong organizational planning and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
