Post Specification

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assistance in faculty administrative support, including handling financial requests, research assistant hiring, research fund application, policy interpretation, liaison with university departments, etc.

2. Organizing and executing academic events such as academic seminars, workshops, etc.

3. Assistance in faculty recruitment by coordinating online/overseas interviews, arranging online/on-campus job talks, liaising with faculty and area recruiting committee as recruitment secretary, etc.

4. Handle faculty personnel matters, such as tenure and promotion, mid-term review, annual review, annual appraisal; responsible for collecting and verifying faculty materials, gathering feedback, etc.

5. Assistance in information collection and maintenance for the area and school.

6. To undertake other assignments by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or above, preferably with Master's degree;

2. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

3. Relevant working experience gained preferably in higher education institutions;

4. Strong communication, organization, coordination, and interpersonal skills;

5. Customer-oriented attitude and able to deliver quick and quality responses;

6. Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team;

7. Patient, responsible, and cheerful, shows initiative and takes full responsibility for the completion of tasks with the ability to work under pressure.

Salary and Benefits

Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
