Student Counsellor II - Student Health & Counselling Centre (Ref. 2025/159/01)
Post Specification
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Leading and supervising psychoeducation activities/programs;
2. Providing counselling services (individual and group) to college students in both Chinese and English;
3. Collaborating with Colleges/Schools/offices for handling critical student cases;
4. Undertake other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. A bachelor’s and master’s degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology, along with a professional certification in Counselling;
2. At least three years of experience in mental health education and psychological counseling in colleges and universities, and have received professional case supervision;
3. Practical experience in providing counselling services to college students (e.g., individual/group counselling and crisis intervention);
4. Proficiency in conducting counselling sessions in English;
5. Fluency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken);
6. Preference will be given to applicants registered as a clinical counsellor with the CPS (Chinese Psychological Society);
7. Good physical and mental health, with strong stress and emotional management skills.
Salary and Benefits
Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
