Introduction of Guest Performers

SUN Qingxiong

SUN Qingxiong graduated from the Piano Department of Wuhan Conservatory of Music. He studied with XU Shuang in Danzhaoyi Piano Art Center when he first started playing the piano. Later, he studied with LI Yuan in Shenzhen Arts School and with ZHENG Xiaofeng in the Piano Department of Wuhan Conservatory of Music. He had been under the guidance of DAN Zhaoyi, YIN Song, Prof. WANG Jian of Wuhan Conservatory of Music, Professor BO Fusheng of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Stanislav Lodanich (Winner of the 11th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition) and other domestic and foreign music experts. He has won the first prize or gold medal in many competitions such as Asian Youth Music Competition. In 2019, he participated in the Master Co-stage Event held by VFun Music as a guest performer, and performed on the same stage with WU Chun, a triple Ph.D degree pianist. In 2020, he participated in the Master Co-stage Event held by VFun Music as a guest performer, and performed on the same stage with YUAN Jie, the Director of Piano Department of Harbin Conservatory of Music and Ph.D of Performance from The Juilliard School.

CHENG Ying

CHENG Ying graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music, and is now a teacher at the Symphony Academy of the Central Conservatory of Music and a cutting-edge artist. She has been learning the violin since she was a child. She had won the Silver Prize of the National Youth Music Competition and the First Prize of the Longjiang Youth Talent Competition. She had won professional scholarships and national scholarships for many times during her study. As the Chief Director of We Young Campus Concert organized by Migu Music, she is committed to the education and popularization of classical music and has served as the judge of singing competitions in domestic universities such as Beijing Institute of Technology and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications for many times. Her students have achieved excellent results in many domestic competitions, such as Beijing Xicheng District "Colorful Dreams" Student Art Festival, Hong Kong International String Open Competition, etc.

YOU Tian

YOU Tian is currently a sophomore student from the Financial Engineering major, Harmonia College. He began to practice cello at the age of 10, and now he is the Cello Principal of the CUHK(SZ) Orchestra and the Deputy Director of the Orchestra Department of Music Union.

"Let's Chill!" is a branded series where a series of music activities will be organized by the University Arts Centre. In these activities, musicians or music professionals will be invited as guests. Activities will integrate with music appreciation, interactive communication, etc., so as to enrich on-campus music experiences, shorten the distance between students and musicians or music professionals, and increase opportunities for music discussion.
