WANG Di
He is a Chair Professor in the Department of History, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Macau, and holds a PhD in East Asian History from Johns Hopkins University, USA. He previously served as a Professor in the Department of History at Texas A&M University, USA.
His academic representative works include?Street Culture in Chengdu, The Teahouse,?Violence and Order on the Chengdu Plain:The Story of a Secret Brotherhood in Rural China,1939-1949,Small Voice of History,Entering the Inside of the Chinese City.?He has also authored historical non-fiction works such as?China Through Others’ Eyes, 1912-1928,?The Lost Ancient City,?The Street Corner Teahouse, Amazing Everyday Successes.?
His works won the Best Book Award from the Urban History Association (UHA) of the USA twice in 2005 and 2019, and also received awards including one of the 10 best non-fiction Chinese books of 2022 from?Yazhou Zhoukan.
