Notification of application for Shenzhen Key Laboratory Formation Project 2024
The Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission has initiated Shenzhen Key Laboratory Formation Project 2024. Only 4 items can be declared. Details of application requirements are as follows:
1. Project Duration and Funding Amount
The duration of project is two years（2024.1.1~2025.12.31）. The project adopts the pre-funding method and the maximum funding is 5 million Yuan.
2. Key Areas
2.1 Focusing on the new generation of electronic information, digital and fashion, high-end manufacturing equipment, green and low-carbon, new materials, biomedicine and health, marine economy, synthetic biology, blockchain, cells and genes, aerospace technology, brain science and brain-like intelligence , deep sea, visible light communication and optical computing, quantum information, mathematical science and interdisciplinary frontiers, carbon neutrality and environmental ecology, biological breeding and modern agriculture, urban governance and public security and other related fields.
2.2 Focusing on major national strategic deployments and major decisions of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government
3. Application Requirements
3.1 Laboratory Name
The laboratory should have a clear positioning and goals, and the research direction must not be duplicated with existing key laboratories at or above the municipal level. The research content, which is forward-looking and unique, shall consistent with the laboratory name "Shenzhen Key Laboratory of XXX”. For existing key laboratories in the city, please refer to http://stic.sz.gov.cn/kjfw/cxzt/szscxztmd.
3.2 Laboratory members
The number of fixed members, such as researchers, technicians, managers, etc., shall more than 20, including more than 2 academic/technical leaders.
Fixed members shall not overlap with members of other at or above municipal level scientific and technological innovation platforms that have obtained municipal financial support.
3.3 Scientific research level of the laboratory
i. In the past 2 years (January 1, 2021-December 31, 2022, the same below), laboratory members have undertaken no less than 7 provincial and higher-level scientific research projects (no less than 1 national project) with a total amount of over 7 million Yuan. Priority will be given to laboratories with fixed personnel undertaking national or provincial key projects.
ii. In the past 2 years, laboratory members have no less than 20 scientific research achievements, such as journal articles included in SCI, EI, ISTP, ISR, etc. and authorized intellectual property rights (including inventions, utility models, designs, etc.). The total number of journal articles included in SCI, EI, authorized invention patents, software copyrights, integrated circuit layout design exclusive rights and new plant varieties shall no less than 10.
3.4 Area and equipment
The minimum research area is 700m2, and the original value of equipment shall more than 7 million Yuan (for software field, the original value shall more than 4 million Yuan).
4. Application Procedure
The applicant logs in the Shenzhen Science and Technology Management System (https://sticapply.sz.gov.cn/) to fill in the project application form online, and uploads the electronic version of other application materials in the system (the copy must be affixed with the official seal of the applicant and then uploaded) and submits it for review (the system acceptance status is "Pending acceptance by the window").
