Notice of proposals collection for Key Program Topics of Shenzhen Fundamental Research 2024
The Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission has initiated the proposals collection for Key Program Topics of Shenzhen Fundamental Research 2024
I. Collection Fields
Solicit major and key scientific issues and frontier scientific issues in “20+8” field in Shenzhen’s strategic emerging industries and future industries (Annex 1)
Focusing on mathematical science and interdisciplinary frontiers, new materials and chemistry, synthetic biology, earth and marine science, new generation information and computing technology, biomedicine and life health, carbon neutrality and environmental ecology, high-end advanced manufacturing basic technology, biological breeding and modern agriculture, urban governance and public safety, quantum science and engineering, brain science and brain-inspired research and other fields or subject directions.
II. Funding Amount and Duration
Maximum RMB 2 million per project for 3 years.
III. Quantity Limit
Maximum 3 guidelines will be submitted for each sub-discipline application code (For example: A0101). (Annex 2)
Please send your discipline code to the school research assistant before 5 p.m. on March 14, 2023. (Annex 3)
IV. Notes
- The same proposal shall not be applied repeatedly by the different applicants.
- The national, provincial and municipal project proposal suggestions that have been funded in previous years, shall not applied repeatedly.
- At most one proposal shall be proposed by the same proposer.
- The following requirements shall be met for the project leader in the follow-up acceptance of the application for Key Program Topics of Shenzhen Fundamental Research:
- The project leader shall be a full-time staff member of the university and the actual person in charge of the applied fundamental research project. The leader shall have the experience of undertaking fundamental research subjects and hold senior professional and technical positions (titles).
- The post-doctoral researchers at the station and those pursuing graduate degrees are not allowed to be project leaders.
- In the same year, only one fundamental research project can be applied, and the total number of municipal science and technology planning projects (except platform carrier and post-subsidy) that have been applied or undertaken (including hosting and participating-in) shall not exceed 3.
- Project leader of Shenzhen's "Distinguished Young Scholar" and "Excellent Young Scientists" projects and key basic research projects in 2022 and 2023 (including university stability support projects) are not allowed to lead the application.
- The project leader and main members of the project team are not listed in the list of scientific and technological integrity abnormality.
- The project leader and main members shall not apply if their other projects are not accepted overdue on the project application deadline.
V. Collection process
- Fill in “Proposal Collection” in the science and technology business management system of Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission(Website: (https://sticapply.sz.gov.cn/). No paper materials shall not be submitted.
- Those teachers who have not the system application account may send their name, certificate type and number, email address and mobile phone number to xuyaqing@cuhk.edu.cn.
Note: Since the login system has used the account of “Guangdong Unified Identity Authentication Platform”to log in, non-mainland ID card users need to handle the real-name verification business on site before logging in to the system. (Please try to log into the system before you apply for real name certification on site.
