1. Collection Method

For Topics Collection for Sustainable Development Science and Technology Fund 2023, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission SZSTI will adopt the mode of "Call for preliminary proposal first, then selecting topics, issuing guidelines, and submitting the full project proposal", focusing on efficient use of resources, ecological environment governance, life health, social governance, precision foods& cosmetics and rural revitalization. Applicants shall fill out application forms online via the application system (website: http://stic.sz.gov.cn/) and click on the “項目征集” column to fill in the form online

2. Collection area

ⅠField of efficient utilization of resources: Focus on technology research and development and application of intensive and economical use of land resources; technology research and development and application of domestic waste, construction waste, municipal sludge comprehensive utilization, remediation of polluted sites; technology research and development and application of power batteries, electronic products, comprehensive utilization of medical waste; intelligent energy, energy conservation and non-conventional water resources utilization, water-saving appliances, green buildings, green transportation, ecological and environmental management

Ⅱ Field of eco-environmental governance: Focus on supporting R&D and application of technologies for ecological environmental protection, urban water resources and water pollution management, groundwater environmental protection and restoration, control of odour-causing substances in drinking water, zero discharge of typical industrial wastewater, deep removal of nitrogen and phosphorus from urban wastewater, eutrophication management in near-shore waters, etc.; three-dimensional monitoring, source management and substitution of raw and auxiliary materials for PM2.5, ozone and VOCs as the core of compound atmospheric pollution. The research, development and application of technologies such as PM2.5, ozone and VOCs-based three-dimensional monitoring, source management and substitution of raw and auxiliary materials, diagnosis and collaborative prevention and control of compound air pollution, collaborative control of PM2.5 and ozone pollution, database of local air pollutant emission factors and VOCs key species emission inventory database, analysis of PM2.5 and ozone sources, population health effects of air pollutants, assessment of the impact of natural source emissions on air volume, etc.; ecosystem protection and restoration, near-shore sea and The research and development and application of technologies for ecosystem protection and restoration, ecological protection and restoration of near-shore waters and coastal zones, etc.; research and development and application of technologies for ecological environment quality assessment and control based on intelligent monitoring and big data analysis.

 Ⅲ Field of life and health: Focus on supporting R&D and application of technologies for health protection, prevention and control of infectious diseases, health promotion in primary and secondary schools, primary medical services, biosafety and ethics of science and technology, sports and health, drug detection and monitoring and early warning, intelligent elderly monitoring and ageing of intelligent products, clinical validation and application of domestic high-end medical devices.

ⅣField of social governance: Focus on supporting R&D and application  of prevention and control technologies for meteorological, drought and flood, geological and marine natural disasters; research, development and application of safety technologies for flooding risks in underground spaces, forest fires, industrial, mining, commercial and trade; research, development and application of safety and security technologies for schools, public entertainment venues, public gathering places and other crowded places; research, development and application of safety prevention and control technologies for urban villages, self-built houses in old districts; research, development and application of hazardous chemicals, construction sites, special equipment and other safety prevention and control technology development and application; food and drug safety, occupational disease prevention and control and other technology development and application.

Ⅴ Field of rural revitalization: Focus on supporting R&D and application of technologies for the identification and precise detection of nutritionally active ingredients, structure, metabolism and function of nutritionally active ingredients and their activity changes in food processing; R&D and application of technologies for the intelligent manufacturing of precision nutrition food, green processing and nutrition maintenance; development of special-purpose formula food, health food, sports nutrition food, dietary supplements, nutritional food for special groups, probiotic products. The development and application of technologies for special-purpose formulas, health foods, sports nutrition foods, dietary supplements, nutritional foods for special groups of people, probiotic products, whole grain nutrition foods, plant protein foods, etc. R&D and application of technologies for manufacturing cosmetic materials using enzyme technology, genetic engineering, metabolic engineering, fermentation and tissue culture; R&D and application of technologies for the production of authentic Chinese herbal medicines and extraction of natural active ingredients.

Ⅵ Field of rural revitalization: Focus on supporting R&D and application of germplasm resource innovation, key gene identification and function analysis, important trait control gene network and environmental response technologies; R&D and application of key biological breeding technologies such as whole genome selection, gene editing and synthetic biology; R&D and application of new plant and animal varieties such as rice, wheat, hybrid potato, corn and pig; R&D and application of pest control, animal disease detection The research, development and application of technologies such as pest control, animal disease detection and prevention and control; and the research, development and application of technologies for the production and deep processing of special agricultural products.

3. Deadline

Applicants submit the collection form online before August 25, 2022.

4. Amount of funding

   The maximum amount of funding shall not exceed RMB 6 million per project and the implementation period shall be 3 years (including the maximum amount of basic frontier topics shall not exceed RMB 3 million per project and the implementation period shall be 3 years; the maximum amount of soft science topics shall not exceed RMB 800,000 per project and the implementation period shall be 1 year)
