Notification of application for National Special Program of Novel Coronavirus drug development 2022
The Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC has initiated the application for National Special Program of Novel Coronavirus drug development 2022. Details of application requirements are as follows:
1. Funding fields
The program focus on the emergent needs of molecular and macromolecular drug research and development, shall have a mature pre-clinical efficacy and safety research basis, high success rate of industrialization and transformation, and be able to quickly enter or promote clinical research finally.

2. Funding amount and duration
The duration of program is one year and the funding intensity is 8 million RMB per project.
3. Requirements
A. The program will use the mode of "Unveiling the List" to organize which are no limits on applicant’s age, education background and academic title. Research teams who have confidence and ability to solve national core technologies are strongly encouraged to apply;
B. No subject will be set for the project and it will not be counted to the total number limit for the applicant;
C. Agreements（the agreement should include terms of division of tasks, ownership of intellectual property, etc.）shall be signed by the applicants and the whole collaborative institutions;
D. Applicants shall read the Annex 2 carefully for more specific requirements.
4. Procedure of application
Applicants shall fill out application forms and upload supplementary documents online via the application system ( http://service.most.gov.cn ) . In the stage of submission, applicants shall only submit online application, without submitting any hard copies.
※ For applicants who have no login ID, please send your name, gender, date of birth, academic title, email address, telephone number, office phone, ID type(indicate the nationality), ID number to kevingao@cuhk.edu.cn by May 25,2022 to open account.
5. Deadline
Applicants shall submit application forms online by noon on June 5, 2022.
