Notification of application for National Key R&D Program of intergovernmental cooperation in science and technology of Brics Joint Research Project on COVID-19 2020
The Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC has initiated the application for National Key R&D Program of intergovernmental cooperation in science and technology of Brics Joint Research Project on COVID-19 2020. Details of application requirements are as follows:
1. Funding fields
This program will fund six projects in three research fields, applicants shall first read the guide(Annex 1-Guide) to find more details.
2. Funding amount and duration
The duration of the project is two years with the maximum funding intensity 3 million yuan per project.
3. Requirements
A. Applicant shall meet the following qualifications:
(1) Born on or after January 1, 1960 with no less than six months per year for researching.;
(2) Have senior academic title or PhD degree.
B. Shall conduct collaborative research with researchers from domestic research institutes, enterprises and universities;
C. Shall conduct collaborative research with researchers from at least two of Bric countries;
D. Agreements（should include terms of division of tasks, ownership of intellectual property, etc.）shall be signed by the applicants and the whole collaborative institutions(including collaborative institutions from Bric countries) ;
E. Applicant shall only apply for (as applicant and main participant) one project;
F. The total number of the national programs(except for NSFC programs) a researcher applies for (including as applicant and main participant) and undertakes (including as applicant and main participant) shall not exceed 2;
G. Shall upload employment proof for applicants from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign countries;
H. Proposal shall be written in Chinese;
I. Applicant shall provide Joint Application Form which has submitted by overseas cooperators through the link at http://brics-sti.org/?p=new/27. Unilateral application shall be invalid;
J. This program shall be organized in the form of project without any subprojects or subtasks;
K. Recommendation department shall be “廣東省科學技術(shù)廳” in the application form;
L. Applicant shall read the application guide(Annex 1-Guide) and requirement of formality examination (Annex 2) carefully for more specific requirements.
4. Procedure of application
Applicant shall fill out application form and upload supplementary documents online via the application system ( http://service.most.gov.cn ) .

5. Deadline
Applicant shall submit application form online by 12:00 on Sep. 12, 2020, without submitting any hard copies.
