On December 6, 2024, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen held its Fourth Scientific and Technological Achievements Launch Event on Biomedicine and Health on campus.


The eight projects launched at this event focused on the field of "biomedicine and health," emphasizing the development outcomes of technologies and systems related to biomedicine and health, such as nanobodies, neural navigation, diagnosis and treatment, and sequencing. Team representatives introduced their scientific and technological achievements to attendees through on-site roadshows. The specific projects included:

  1. Development and Application of Nanobodies Targeting Important Drug Targets
  2. Smartly Unlocking Nature, Synthesizing the Future, Precision Nutrition – An AI-Empowered Fermentation Platform for Homologous Medicine and Food
  3. Development of Neural Navigation Systems and Integrated Surgical Vehicles
  4. Multi-Cell Lineage Symbiotic Liver Organoid Differentiation Kit
  5. Nanopore Selective Sequencing
  6. Ultra-Early Diagnostic Method for Neurodegenerative Diseases Based on Blood Biomarkers
  7. Intelligent Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis System
  8. Development of Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Technologies

Additionally, the launch event invited guests from leading venture capital institutions such as China CITIC Bank, Industrial Bank, Tiantu Capital, Leaguer Venture Capital, Zero1 Venture Capital, Dingxin Capital, and Grand Capital, as well as innovative enterprises like BGI, Hyperpuros, and Yingshu Life. Members of the CUHK-Shenzhen Scientific and Technological Achievements Transformation Committee, heads of relevant colleges, research institutes, departments, and teachers and students also attended to show their support.


This year, CUHK-Shenzhen has successfully held four sessions of scientific and technological achievements launch events. In the future, the university will continue to strengthen scientific research innovation, deepen industry-university-research collaboration, and irregularly organize salon events focusing on specific disciplines, renowned scholars, and enterprises to promote the efficient transformation of the university's outstanding scientific and technological achievements.
